"pricey" is all relative my friend.

Another tip, Sand the neck completely to remove all poly finish. Replace decal with one of your choice, and spray with nitro, or just use clearcoat over the top side of the headstock and oil the back and neck . Makes for a very comfortable feel that your hand won't stick to.

I wouldnt sand the neck completely but yeh i would clearcoat the top.

Its alot more hassle than its worth.

^ by removing the poly finish from the backside of the neck, it acquires that"aged" appearance fairly quickly and has a smoother feel.. But it really doesn't take long to sand the whole piece..A major improvement IMO...

Ages the neck and hardens the wood. Gives your guitar a much longer sustain and a really cleaan finish.
