Making a Custom Strat - Teach me how

Please you experienced guys. Teach me how to make a custom strat, if you could like, make it in steps like

1.
2.
3.

etc.

please, i definately want to make one.

i dont know what info to give. lol this might be more difficult than i expected. Really what i want to know is:

where do i find cheap parts
what parts are compatible with other fender parts
How would i install the pickups
Youre one of a kind. Just like everybody else.

There is always http://www.gilmourish.com wich describes all the mods that David Gilmour did to his black strat, a good place to buy parts is also guitarfetish.com they have very good prices. I can help you along with it to.

Here's my project.

Late 60's Lawsuit body, Japanese Sen wood
Early 70's Strat neck, rosewood,scalloped below the 12th
Japanese tuners
Am. strat bridge.


Gonna route for HB in the bridge, either a SD Distortion or a Gibson 490t and texas single coils, neck and mid.

Not very gilmourish is it although i think that would sound killer for playing dogs on.
