I haven't really heard too much of them but from what I have they sound excellent.
Buy the 35th Anniversary Collection, it's a great one to get to get started on Yes, then buy "Going For The One". 
Yes are amazing, Jon Anderson has one of the best voices ever...

No he wasn't. He was/is way over-rated as a musician.
I have to disagree with you. What he did with a guitar has and never will be matched by anyone. Everything about his prformance was top draw and, even thoug I don't particularly like his music, what he did for the music world was phenomenal.

Jmi Hendrix's playing was too repetitive, OK, playing your teeth is brilliant and all, but what he was playing was always the same, you can hardly tell songs apart.
And as for "Asking my favourits who their favourites are" is bullsh*t, seeing as all my favourite guiarists began starting playing the guitar just after the invention of the solid body electric.

^ Dude, you're bull,****......Ask dave who his influences are. Playing with his teeth was a stunt to get recognition from jackasses who think flash is where it's at.
