Try to get in the mind of the person and song you are singing. That always prepares me for a song.
I find Roger's vocals much more demanding due to the sheer emotion-and varied ranges and volumes.
Hell for any sound person.

When I sing I can sound like Rog, Dave, Syd, and some older Rick Wright, so if I started a PF tribute band I could be the guitarist/bassist, and front man. hammers

What you think you sound like doesnt mean that you actually do.

Look at Ian Cattell from Aussie Floyd he thinks he sounds like Roger, He doesnt at all to me.

Plus as u get older your voice will mature aswell so even if you do a good impersonation when your voice finally breaks it doesnt mean your going to be able to do it anymore.

I might've said, "He and the band think he sounds like Roger". More factual.

Yeah, true you can't here yourself, but I've had people tell me on some songs I sound like Roger, and when I sing C-Numb I sound a lot like David.

my main singing problem is that i lived in russia for 9 years and the moved to america and lived there for 6 years. so i basicaly have a mixture of a russian and american accents making my singing awful in both languages(especialy english). is there a way to fix that.

Once thing I have always admired is how different, Rick's voice is to Dave's to Roger's. Then Rick and Dave in either unison or harmony is epic. One of the things they got really good was picking the right vocalist for the right song. As much as I love alternate versions of 'Have a Cigar" it's just not the same without Roy Harper singing it.
