Wrong, especially if you already own every Pink Floyd release. In such a case, owning a tribute band CD is supportive not only of the tribute band but also of PF themselves since the royalties to produce the tribute band CD get paid to PF
Exactly, and besides if you are willing to buy a ticket to a "Pink Floyd tribute band" then how is it any different to buy a cd. of that band as well? Case in point: I love to go see The Machine any chance I get & pick up a cd. of thiers while I'm at the show. So how is that wrong? If given the chance I'd rather see Pink Floyd themselves but, we all know that's not possible (at least for the time being anyway).

Yes I own several tribute Cd's and I enjoy them.. hell, Dub Side of the Moon is great and no, it isn't the real Pink Floyd. I enjoy listening to others do Pink Floyd music. Some of the pieces are amazing. Some I am indifferent to. But I give them all a chance. I used to think that I would never do this and some believe that it's selling out as a fan. I think that is wrong, it's not selling out at all. In fact I believe that a true Pink Floyd music fan will always be true to the original pink Floyd. But what's the harm in enjoying other acts doing Floyd music? I bought A fair Forgery of Pink Floyd and I love it! I also listen to the Aussie Pink Floyd Show in my vehicle all the time! I listen to Dub Side of the Moon and other Cd's I have. Bloody brilliant! Try them.....you might like it!
