Happy New Year, everyone!

I thought it might be cool to set up an "unofficial" set list thread. If you're in a PF tribute band, post your latest show. If you've seen some cool tribute sets, post what you remember. We can also discuss the hows, whys and wherefores as well as suggest cool new ideas.

Here's the rundown of what we played at our last two shows.

Friday, Oct 24 @ The Zephyr, Salt Lake CIty UT

Shine On You Crazy Diamond pt I-V
Run Like Hell
Hey You
Not Now John
The Gunner's Dream
Sheep
Learning To Fly
The Happiest Days Of Our Lives
Another Brick In The Wall pt II
Wish You Were Here
Pigs On The Wing pt I
Young Lust
Comfortably Numb
Speak To Me / Breathe
On The Run
Time
Great Gig In The Sky
Money
Us And Them
Any Colour You Like
Brain Damage / Eclipse
Echoes

Saturday, December 27 @ Bricks, Salt Lake City UT

The Show Must Go On
In The Flesh!
Learning To Fly
Mother
Welcome To The Machine
Have A Cigar
Goodbye Blue Sky
Us And Them
Any Coloour You Like
Another Brick In The Wall pt II
Dogs
Great Gig In The Sky
Wish You Were Here
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Astronomy Domine
Money
Comfortably Numb
Shine On You Crazy Diamond pt I-IX

What do you think, sirs? :music:

cheers,
stabbim

Interesting....when we do full albums, we always save them for the end of the night instead of opening with them.

For those of you who check these kind of shows out on a regular basis, do you have any preference on this? Or does it not matter as long as you get a Floyd fix? :;):

When I saw The Machine at the Grove, they opened with the entire Dark Side and then played a set of cuts from different LPs. I have a couple of Floyd ROIOs where Floyd does the same thing

Yes actually it is common for The Machine to play Album shows with them being the first set. Animals, Dark Side & Wish you were here & The Wall to name a few. I have even seen them do them as an encore.

It's not a album show but here's one from The Machine @ The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY on Nov. 8th 2003....

Astronomy
Welcome to the Machine
Run
Fletchers
Sheep
Echoes
Set the Controls
Final Cut
Wish you were here
Pigs
Brain Damaged/Eclipse
In the Flesh
Worms
The Trail
Fearless

Just like Astronomer420 said, I have a ton more, just have to dig them out.

I've been to see more of The Machines shows then I can even count anymore and to tell you the truth I don't really think that it matters if the Album is played first or last as long as I can get my fix!!! Devil :p

If you get the chance go see The Machine.
They are the worlds best Pink Floyd Tribute....
These boys have got it going one.

Heh. Those are always a treat...

Nice flow to that set. Did you play 'In The Flesh / Run Like Hell' at the end-of-show proper, or was it done as an encore?

cheers,
stabbim

That was at the end of our setlist --we had Shine On set for the encore but since it was 2:00 am, they pulled the plug! We hadn't play Flesh 2 in quite a long time. The club had a CD recording running and they played some of it back while we were breaking down and it sounded pretty good rocker
