My fav "former Beatle" would have 2 B George I used 2 own alot of his stuff on LP records. I used 2 have his "Live in Japan" on tape. AWSOME live album. I Only hope they rerelaese the Traviling Wilburrys. Really though George & Dave are the BEST guitarists around. Dave can play slide so close 2 George, its eerie. Yall think Dave wouldve been a good Wilburry? Why not?
My fav albums from George are "All Things Must Pass",
"Living in a Matereal World", "33&1/3RD","Self Titled", "Cloud 9", "Traviling Wilburrys", and "BrainWashed". I've been waiting my whole life 4 this. I like the other "former Beatles" too, Paul & Wings R close as my fav. but mainly George. I sorta wished him & Dave wouldve done something 2gether. Any of yall heard "All Things Must Pass"? That is the BEST post beatle album of all time.

Jealous Guy by John Lennon from the Imagine LP is the one you're talking about. Beautiful. Don't like Bryan Ferry's cover version in the immediate aftermath of Mr. Lennon's death so much, though it was a number 1 smash hit, I believe.

Harrison's All Things Must Pass is amazing. I have the 2000 box set edition. Features his friends Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Produced by George and Mr. "Wall of Sound" Specter to great effect. Behind That Locked Door, What Is Life, My Sweet Lord, I'd Have You Anytime, Isn't It A Pity and Dylan's If Not For You are truly wonderful. I think it challenges Lennon's brilliant 1st two solo albums as the best Beatles solo album of all time.

That was John Lennon who did "Jealous Guy". ALL 4 of the Beatles did solo stuff:
John Lennon: IMAGINE, JEALOUS GUY, MIND GAMES, HOW DO YOU SLEEP, WATCHING THE WHEELS, WORKING CLASS HERO.
Paul McCartney & Wings: LIVE & LET DIE (from the James Bond movie, Roger Moore's 1ST Bond film), BAND ON THE RUN, LET EM IN, HELEN WHEELS, SILLY LOVE SONGS, SAY, SAY ,SAY (with Micheal Jackson) (BAD MISTAKE, Paul, what were you thinking?!, No wonder George went into hiding in the 80's)
George Harrison: MY SWEET LORD, WHAT IS LIFE, BEWARE OF DARKNESS, ART OF DYING, ALL THINGS MUST PASS, DARK HORSE, GOT MY MIND SET ON YOU, CRACKERBOX PALACE, HANDLE WITH CARE (Traveling Wilburys)
Ringo Starr: IT DON'T COME EASY, I'M THE GREATEST, PHOTOGRAPH
There U go SlyGirl, theres the jest U need 2 know about the Beatles solo stuff.

Really like Ringo's It Don't Come Easy, which once featured in the Simpsons. I think Lennon may have written it for him or helped him to write it. That's certainly the case with some of Ringo's solo material. Can't stress enough how good All Things Must Pass (Harrison LP) is, or Lennon's Plastic Ono Band and Imagine albums. Not a McCartney/Wings fan.

Love Travelling Wilburys. Harrison's backing vocals while Roy Orbison was singing were superb. He was also great on guitar. Combined with Dylan's masterful songwriting they were a true supergroup.

Have All Things Must Pass disc 1 on now. Mind-blowingly good. Just remembered Harrison and Dylan co-wrote opening track I'd Have You Anytime, which is one of my favourites.
