That whole quoting thingy in ashleyrose's photography thread started because of pancakes. (And I AM sorry for that by the way). I just want everyone to say what they have to say about pancakes in here. I welcome all to speak their minds on the topic of pancakes, God's gift to us. Just talk about favorite mix, toppings, favorite type, idioms for the word pancakes, doesn't matter. Just speak your free thought's on pancakes in here. :) :) :)

A pancake lovers haven? Brilliant.
I think I will make my first post here a review Hungry Jack Instant Pancake Mix (Just Add Water).
What instantly appealed to me about this particular brand was the fact that I didn't need to buy eggs or milk to go along with it. Living alone and not being much of a milk drinker or an egg eater in general, I don't usually have either of those two items on hand. What clinched the purchase for me was that the mix was divided into four smaller pouches within the box. This is highly convenient, as each pouch makes just the right amount of pancakes for one pancake-loving individual.
Having made the purchase, I was still slightly worried that the taste wouldn't be quite up to par with convential mixes that require milk and eggs, or with homemade mixes. I needn't have worried, though. After adding a bit of water and mixing gently (leaving a few lumps in the mix is always a good idea), I heated and lightly oiled the pan. A word of advice here, for any novices: it's tempting to add more oil than is necessary to make them "extra crispy" but trust me, you don't need much oil at all. They will come out much better with only a thin layer of oil on the bottom of the pan.
Moving on. As the pancakes cooked the sweet aroma filled the kitchen, making me very hungry. Flipping them over (and pancakes should never be flipped more than once) I noticed with delight that they were browning very nicely.
Once the cooking process was complete I put them on a plate, added a gererous but reasonable amount of margarine, then covered them in pure maple syrup from Maple Grove Farms in Vermont. If, like me, maple syrup is your preffered pancake topping, then real maple syrup is a must (though not necessarily from Vermont).
So, let me finish up by saying that the pancakes turned out to be delicious. They were crispy, sweet, satisfying, and just generally everything that pancakes are supposed to be.
I give Hungry Jack Instant Pancake Mix four stars out of four.

Thanks dude. :D I find the eggs and milk to be more exhilirating in my mouth. But I do like the advantage of not having to have eggs and milk with just add water mix. But thanks dude. I love this thread. :D
