FantasticFloyd Wrote:Of course it's absurd. Angry The Beatles ARE extremely overrated. Sure, they might have a few good hits but I wouldn't quite say they're THE BEST, or even qualify in that competion.
The Beatles are just as good as Floyd.

It's all a matter of opinion. Like em' or don't. I don't care either way. Done.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Not sure if this fits in but here it goes.
Cassually last night in the club there was a band playing only Beatles covers (All Together Band they're called) and these are some of the tunes they played - I don't recall all of them.

-Back in the USSR.
-Drive my car.
-Help.
-Love me do (YUCKKKK!!!)
-Get back.
-If I needed someone.
-Lady Madonna.
-Twist and shout.
-Be Bop a lula.
-Come together.
-Here comes the sun.
-Helter skelter.

As they didn't have a keyboard player a few certain songs were omitted (Let it be, etc...). Not that I care a lot since the band that play all Saturdays but August's normally perform it.

John Lennon and Harrisson were amazing.

I love White album, some Srgt. Pepper and some Abbey Road.

Day in life is one of the best song ever. And Strawberry fields.

Strawberry Fields is overrated. They have much better songs. It's not even the best on Magical Mystery Tour; Hello Goodbye, I Am the Walus, All You Need is Love, Penny Lane, Magical Mystery Tour, Baby You're a Rich Man, and the Fool on the Hill are much better.

HAHA!!

Yes.. my friend gave me a disk to put in my computer.. she said it was every Beatles song ever made, so FantasticFloyd said : ok, thanks dude.
(FantasticFloyd throws it in closet one she gets home)

Next day.

Ash: Listen to that c.d yet?

FantasticFloyd: Oh.. um, yeah. Lovely.

Ash: You didn't listen to it, did you?

FantasticFloyd: Um, not really.

She's a Beatles Freak, I'm a Floydian Finnatic. Actually, I think my first post here was actually a poll because we were having some debate and needed some votes from anothere source. Now, seeing polls similar to that, I know why everyone gets mad. They're rubbish.
weird. You havent listened them but already put them in rubbish category.
I think all floyd fans should remember that Roger's favorite songwriter was John Lennon that inspired him in countless times to write Floyd music.

Hello goodbye - lame.
All you need is love - goofy. Same category that Yellow submarine.

In a nutshell: the only song I save from your list is Penny Lane.
