If I recall, when i was your age, I wasn't as well informed on that many subjects, but since I seem to have a mild form of OCD, (once I start doing something, I become quite obsessed with it for at least a short period), whatever I have known about, I have always become a near expert on it immediately. I love knowledge and learning.

Speaking of which, my beard is again slowly taking root on my face, but with shorter hair this time, I have been getting many more people saying it suits me. It's been about a month now, but it doesn't grow fast on me. Maybe another month or so and I will appear to be a wise old man.
Steve, the penguin still won't leave. I am contemplating consolting an old priest and a young priest...

I've got a pretty nifty setup going here now. It took me a while to find a really decent replacement for all the DSPs I had running in foobar (though I'm actually glad to be rid of Noise Sharpening; in hindsight, the harshness of the sharpened audio was worse than the improvement it made), but here are the details:

- HARDWARE -
Sound card: SigmaTel STAC9200
Physical sound reproduction: Roland RH-200 Monitor Headphones

- BASIC SOFTWARE -
Operating System: GNU/Linux
Distribution: Ubuntu 8.10
Media player: Audacious 1.5.1

- INPUT FORMAT -
Preferred codec: FLAC
Other codec(s) in library: Ogg Vorbis

- OUTPUT DETAILS -
Sound engine: ALSA
Output plugin: xmms-crossfade 0.3.14
Output bit depth: 16-bit

- SIGNAL PROCESSING -
Equaliser:

Resampler: Best sinc interpolator @ 192,000 Hz
LADSPA plugins: TAP Bauer stereophonic to binaural (crossfade level: 1)

- SCREENSHOTS -
Mini player (as I keep it in normal operation):

My phone, with the headphones plugged in and my MP3 player if the battery dies when I'm at college, and the DVD when I'm at home.

Ooh yeah, I forgot. Now I use my (brand new!!!!) stereo if I want to annoy the neighbours, or don't want to lug an MP3 player and headphones around the house.

I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing

I just added two new effects to the setup I have in Audacious. Crystalizer (effect intensity 0.5) and Extra Stereo Plugin (effect intensity 2.0).

I use iTunes to listen to music but use Winamp to add music to my iPod. Besides that, I use my iPod, my old CD player or our vinyl player, depending on how much time I feel like using to hear an album.
