Is AC/DC more of a blues or more of a rock band?

Don't get me wrong, I love blues and rock, but is AC/DC more of a blues band than Rock. I know rocks history, all rock came from blues. But can AC/DC be consited a purish kinda blues band? Fast blues I guess. Chuck berry was Angus's idol, which we all know the duck walk.
Anythought? Im sure a few of you are thinking ROCK YOU IDIOT! haha.

Pure Blues, never.

The very early records were very blues based, a blues on steroids if you will. I think they slowly morphed into a straight up rock band as they found their legs and audience.

Great rock band, turned into a boring arena band.

the only real similarity is that both AC/DC and the blues are both rely so much on guitar for their music...they are both very guitar driven things...i like AC/DC i like the Bon Scott days a little better than the current ones but they are still very good...and who doesn't like Thunderstruck?!?!
