I've been thinking of buying Pete Townshend's White City album, and apart from Gilmour being on it, I don't know much about it.

Is it a good album, or not?

I got it when it was new, back in '85. Really enjoyed it, and still do. It's got some gems on it.....'Give Blood' has some signature Gilmour guitar going on, 'Second Hand Love' is catchy, and 'Face The Face' has got to have one of the coolest intros of any song ever.

Doesn't White City Fighting have the same music to Dave's All Lovers Are Deranged?

I don't remember it being the same music, although it might be. I'll have to go back and listen to it again. I think it may have possibly been originally written for use on 'About Face' and Dave decided not to use it, so it was reworked for Pete's album a year later.

Townshend and Gilmour have a pretty solid history together, especially during the mid-80's. Wish there was more of it.
