Anyone into these guys? I have all of their studio albums, plus Rank which is a live album. My favorite album of theirs is Meat is Murder. "Barbarism Begins at Home" is probably my favorite song out of their entire discography.

Tried something by them years ago, and just couldn't get into it. I know next to nothing about them.

Morrissey, the lead singer, is hard to get into. His voice is definitely an acquired taste. It took me a while to get used to it, but eventually I did.

The Smiths are amazing, they've got a unique sound, and I love Morrissey's voice. The Queen is Dead or Singles is a great starting place...both are superb

agreed, I got into them kinda late, but when "How Soon Is Now" hit the radio here I was hooked...oh, the melodrama...the draaaammmmmaaa! Cool

And now the final solution can be applied.

I've recently been into The Queen is Dead what an amazing record. It's like a mini-greatest hits. 7 of the 10 tracks, in my opinion are classics

Clever, but too depressing for me.

I used to not like em but I slowly got into them ... and I must say Morrissey's voice brings up many yawns ...
But for what I know, both the band's and his solowork is excellent. Everybody knows songs like Girlfriend in a Coma, Bigmouth Strikes Again, How Soon is Now, There is a Light That Never Goes Out, The More You Ignore Me the Closer I Get ... And for what I heard of the last Morrissey's album, it sounded great.

Oh my, how much is there to say about these guys? They're mindblowing. Moz's solo work is also fantastic. I highly recommend them.

And if you don't like them, then I don't blame you.

Just don't stop after hearing one album.

Don't try to wake me in the morning
'Cause I will be gone
Don't feel bad for me
I want you to know
Deep in the cell of my heart
I will feel so glad to go

Moz's voice is definitely an acquired taste. I may have said it before, I don't remember. But I think sometimes his voice can take a while to get into, but once you do, and realise how powerful and amazing it is, you won't regret it.
