I like some of his stuff. He gave birth to the image and the shock in a way, gyrating his hips like that.

I think you hit the nail right on the head...musically, no, he wasn't, BUT he brought the rock and roll IMAGE to the masses, of course many artists had done it before but he was the one the popular media accepted and he deserves at least some credit for that.

I never seen a black or white person, unless they painted with those colors and got some on them.

i cant say im that innocent. I see black, white, yellow, all. Its all about not acting on it. I feel bad that i do sometimes think racist thoughts.

Yeah it was really the image. I mean of course there was Chuck Berry and Little Richard but i think it has something to do with race.

but he was certainly influential
