wowser Wrote:joy division good choice. atmosphere is their best. unknown pleasures has one of the best front covers ever
The song Love Can Tear Us Apart is absolutely awesome and assured Joy Division's place in history. Most of their songs are good but quite similar to each other.

Today i bought Primal Scream's "Screamadelica", Best of Happy Mondays and the brand new Neil Young & Crazy Horse album "Greendale". NY & CH are on at the moment. Listened to 1/2 of the Mondays CD earlier before something came up.

The new Neil Young & Crazy Horse album I'm listening too seems really good. It comes with a bonus DVD of a live gig of the whole album in Dublin, Ireland, too.

how is greendale - seriously?
screamadelica is superb. best songs are higher than the sun and inner flight.

joy division's songs don't all sound alike. they are better than pink floyd. which cd do u have?
Greendale: the album is about average (certainly not below average) by Young's standards. But the solo acoustic version of the songs on the live DVD (included) is absolutely brilliant! Easily worth it for that.

Screamadelica: it seemed OK, but I wasn't too keen on it overall. Got the impression one had to have taken some E pills to enjoy it fully, which I don't do.

Joy Division: better than PF? Surprised to hear you say that. Know you like them, but I thought PF were still one of your favourites. I have Permanent (Best of Joy Division). Cheap-skate, I know, but I couldn't really afford the "every track" box-set at the time. I love Joy Division in a way.

Currently listening to (that's the topic of the thread, after all): The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths. (10/10)
