Still, he IS correct to say that they are not one of those bands that exists just for drugs or popularizing drugs. There's more to them than that. So what if they tried it on occasion? Even if they did, they're still not a "drug-oriented" group.

Apparently Roger says he and Nick were great friends and were mostly into heavy drinking, whereas the Gilmour-Wright camp dabbled in all kinds of illegals instead. Obviously Syd could hardly have been more drug orientated.

No kidding. Syd once forgot how to play guitar. Gilmour had to teach him how to play again. I find that HI-larious. Good ol' Syd. We love you dude.

I missed it, but it seems to me VH1 could have choosen better people to comment on Floyd. Joe Elliot & Brett Michaels?????? Come on you crazy diamonds, those two goof-balls are hardly in the same dimension let-alone category or class as Floyd! Far from it, in fact. We're not talking about "every rose" having it's thorn or how "love bites", and it's certainly no "unskinny bop..."

Well, about the breathe: I think that album is about life and death. It starts with a heartbeat, then goes into Breathe ( the first breath) then everything else, then Great Gig In The Sky (Death) Then the other songs, are just there.

yes, but, PF were so popular in the 60s-drug-era. whether the band members did drugs or not is a moot point. most of the population did (doesnt make it right, just a realistic fact). BTW...to some (like me) PF is still popular. touring or not!!! rocker

it took him long enough to say " 'course we're not"
