One of my Dad's friends is a yoga teacher and used to teach yoga to Dave and Polly a few years ago. (At this time, Dave told Jon that he was 'too fat' to do another Floyd tour!)

Anyway, Jon's long term partner tragically died of a brain haemorrage unexpectedly one day. Dave played at the funeral with her son and then gave Jon the keys to his house in Rhodes and told him to stay there as long as he needed to sort himself out.

That's what a call a nice thing to do! :)

Dave is the nicest rock star around. He deserves a KBE instead of his OBE.

thats really cool. kinda reminds me of that thing donald trump did when that couple helped jump start his limo so he sent them enough money to pay off the deeds to their house...

but dave's thing is cooler

The best example I can think of of how nice he is is how he gives everyone--everyone--credit on the post-Waters albums. Anyone who deserves mention gets it! On Roger's major works it was rare anyone non-Floyd or non-Roger got there name on there! The truth is, Dave doesn't get any more outside help than Rog, he just gives more credit!

Thats really, really cool.
