Amused to Death is quite simply an awesome piece of work and mostly underated by non-fans.

well there are some great answers to this!! roger is a genius and his solo work is much better than gilmours. dave is an outstanding guitarist but lacks at writing great lyrics.

pro and con and waves are not so good a few good songs
ATD rocks out
atd is more floyd to me than bell or lapse
no offence intended i also feel meltdown is a floyd album too !!!

roger > dylan >lennon were only a few who could pull off great music and be political

Amused to Death ranks #1...even though I don't agree with a dang thing hypocrite Roger says, it is an incredible album and work of art....poignant and clever. Very cohesive and thought provoking.....but Roger's music is not my cup of tea anymore..


As far as me saying "hypocrite Roger", well IMO he is, but that is neither here nor there.....
I will be the first one to admit that I am a hypocrite too....[/i]


but back to topic, Amused to Death is #1

1. Amused to Death: great album, almost as good as some Pink Floyd albums, definitely his strongest solo release.
2. Radio K.A.O.S: the production sounds too 80's and it's a bit uneven but it has some really good songs
3. The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking: not bad, but too me it sounds like The Wall and The Final Cut leftovers

I don't believe you can say one album is better than another, all his stuff is as good as the next. Your not a true waters fan if you think one's better than the other.

That's ridiculous claim. Artist can and should be criticized.

Ultimate and gross example: I like someones painting and can be considered fan of his work. He then goes off and paints my house with his own shit. Yes, with his own shit. So I much love that piece of art because I am (or after that was) fan of his?

mind numbingly unimpressive and boring record. Stupidest concept ever for which Rog deserves to be shot. Radio Waves is ok and Tide Is Turning is good. Rest is naff
