The self-titled is better musically, but About Face has better songs... especially Murder, which is one of the best songs ever written by anyone. I still remember first hearing that song on the radio in 1984... sounded amazing then, and still sounds amazing now.

"There's No Way Out Of Here" is the best song Gilmour ever recorded solo, I think, but the album About Face is more "floydish" and that's why it got my vote. "Murder" is allso one of my favorite Gilmour-tunes...

if you have it at hand go put on cry from the street 3 minutes 20 secs in. that solo KICKS A**. its just tooo rockin rocker

start of it rocks too. ok the lyrics are no masterpiece, but still decent. but he is a guitarist afterall.

david gilmour 1978 is far and away better. mihalis so far away cry from the street raise my rent no way its deafinitely.
the rest are decent, just they lack that rocker

I honestly can't pick between the two albums. I will say this: Out of the Blue is one of the most astoundingly beautiful and sad songs that I have ever heard. Simply magnificent!
