Comforatbaly Numb is definetely my favorite guitar solo out of all of them. It inspired me to buy a guitar! While he has some solos that are awe-inspiring, Comfortably Numb is his best.

The PULSE version of the solo IS the best ever and there will probably never be a better one unless Dave writes one for a new song or gives the numb solo an even longer makeover.

Am I imagining things?

I remember David Gilmour doing the awesome "comfortably numb" solo atop "the wall"...I thought it was in berlin. It was an outdoor show, stage fog blowing past.

Why can't I find it anywhere?

I think the solo on the album version is fantastic but I think it must be just me who cannot stand the P*U*L*S*E version!!! I think it goes on a little too long and is a bit too epic.

Personally my favourite solos are Time, Money and SOYCD :)

the only problem I have will the PULSE version is the vocals during the verses, for me that is Roger's part and always will be musically it is fantastic, and Guy Pratt puts in some great fills on bass and the guitar solo at the end is second to none rocker

The verses on the PULSE version are quite different, but I think it was nice to try something like that. Of course, the perfect one is with Roger, but that...wasn't possible...

No, I agree. I absolutely love the album version the best. PULSE gets too much praise overall anyway. I like it, but it's not really Pink Floyd. And I cannot stand those girl singers. They're used WAY too much. It borderlines on cheesy at certain points. But it's still great because the music is great. You'd have to work pretty hard to ruin that.
