Did anyone see Gilmour performing at Live Aid, in 1985. He was one of the lead guitars in Bryan Ferry band, playing "Slave to Love" and "Jealous Guy"

I have this on vhs somewhere...I remember watching and being amazed cause I don't think it was announced ahead of time, I could be wrong, it was 20 years ago....lol...and "Slave to Love" is one of my fav tunes ever..I'll find it and post some memories... Cool

And now the final solution can be applied.

Speaking of Gilmour's session work (and guest appearances) does anyone have a definitive list, or a link to a forum or website that has one. I know he's worked on hundreds of songs on guitar, vocals, production, etc.

The Pink Floyd encyclopedia lists a startling number of songs that Dave is said to have played on. Unfortunately, they are not listed in a separate section--they are just listed alphabetically along with everything else. All I can say is that he has played on a lot of people's records!

He played with Pete Townsend. Saying how amazing that this huge guitar hero wanted "me" to play with him.

Come on guys! Gilmour forever changed the music world when on 12/28/91, he performed "Big Bottoms" with Spinal Tap...on the bass guitar!!

I have it on video and it is absolutely (in total deadpan/charater) hysterical!!

I believe he plays on at least two of Sir Paul McCartney's albums, 'Give My Regards To Broad Street' and 'Run Devil Run'.
