ive heard rumours that he is doing another album but this quote made me think yes its true

http://www.soundtech.co.uk/taylor/news/w...http://www.soundtech.co.uk/taylor/news/willowfoundationd

"Rock legend David Gilmour took a break from a recent recording session at his South West London studio to sign a guitar for the charity"

im nearly 100 positive that hes working on a new album but i doubt many others will think the same

I hope he is, and I hope it's better than OAI... OAI is alright - the first two tracks are great, The Blue is OK and then it gets a bit dull. Red Sky At Night and This Heaven are pretty good, and APOS is great, but apart from that it's not a particularly enjoyable album - more suitable as background music than something to actively listen to IMO.

Like Steve said, I hope he's making something too. But I like On An Island a lot, very relaxing IMO. I'm just curious, why would he be recording for the On An Island live DVD?

By the sounds of it, and what you listed, you seem to enjoy most of it.

I haven't listened to it too much recently, but I plan to again real soon. More music from Dave would be a nice treat, but I kind of doubt we'll see anything real soon. Dave's always been pretty lazy, and at 61 almost, I wouldn't really expect him to change in his ways......

The individual songs are OK, but you just get sick of Dave's guitar solos by the end of it. With Castellorizon and OAI you think "wow, these solos are great" and by APOS and WWS you think "oh no, not another Dave solo". Not that they're bad, they're just too plentiful, methinks. He should be like Roger and Rick and let others do more stuff on his solo albums.
