I would have to say Dogs, Time also, though I thought Roger sang it just as great during the 2007 tours.

Dogs is very difficult to argue with...great choice!

And now the final solution can be applied.

Yeah, great vocals on Dogs, Time, Money, Breathe (brilliant double-tracking), Let There Be More Light, Celestial Voices (Pompeii)... there are so many!

The songs that really showcase Gilmour's voice, for me, are the ones that are very obviously designed to do so......the above choices are all great, of course(and in most cases extremely hard to sing)......but the following just take it to another level altogether.....

Coming Back To Life

A Pocketful Of Stones

On The Turning Away

Murder(this one really shows off all those trademark Gilmour vocal timbres)

Out Of The Blue

Learning To Fly

Sonnet 18(from his 'In Concert' dvd........incredible range on this!)

So Far Away(I've got a live version of this, and he actually manages to one up the version on record!)

Fat Old Sun from his upcoming dvd....perfect vocal delivery.

Any live version of 'Comfortably Numb'. Nobody does this the way Gilmour does, and it never sounds right....just cheap imitation. Particular favorites would be from 'The Hammersmith Odeon '84', and 'Knebworth '90'. I get the chills every time on those two!

And when you really want to hear Dave belt it out, there's always your Young Lusts, Nile Songs, Not Now Johns, and Dogs Of Wars(if you can forgive the latter's hamfisted lyrics!)

It's amazing to me that his voice has remained as good, and possibly even better now, after all these years. He's got lots of ranges and can sing very effectively on many different types of songs. Really getting pumped for the dvd.....not only for the obvious guitar, but also for his "one of a kind" singing!

^ Great choices there Whong!

Dave's voice has changed alot over the years, in the early days he sang with his Cambridgeshire accent (like Syd) during the AMLoR tours he seemed to do more heavy vocals / shouting (i.e. Shine On, Dogs of War, Welcome to the Machine, CN, RLH), during the '94 tour that was toned down and during the '06 tour he seems to have lost that deep vocal and seems to sing much higher and softer, probably the reason for not choosing to add Sorrow to the set.

I would add Goodbye Blue Sky (love the multitracking on this) and concur with dogs - great vocal work...
