I've been playing guitar for 3 years and i love it, i know just about every floyd song. I really am interested in rick wright and what he acheived in pink floyd, i think he is a very under estimated member of the band. Well i was wondering on what keyboard/synth i should get(i want one that would be good for floyd songs) i was also wondering if i should take lessons or not. Plz send links of keyboard/synth's that are good for floyd songs that are about $700 or under.

Well, as Rick uses piano, organ and synth quite extensively, you'll want something with decent tones in all three areas. Another thing to consider is the feel of the keyboard - if you'll be playing piano parts mostly, it's better to have a weighted keyboard, but if you'll be doing organ/synth more, an unweighted one will be more beneficial. If you're looking at $700 or less, you're probably not going to get a top-of-the-range keyboard, but you can get something decent to start off with.
I suggest you Google some keyboard brands, such as Roland, Korg, Kurzweil, Yamaha, etc. and look for some keyboards you think may be suitable, then Google those models and see if you can find reviews of them - that's what I normally do when I'm looking to buy a new keyboard. Roland has a few cool synths (particularly the Juno series) that I think may be what you are looking for, I suggest you check them out.

Get a piano. Nothing feels better than a real piano under your fingers. Weighted keys just don't do it.
Though, of course, if you want the Floyd sounds, you'd get a keyboard. But nothing feels better to play than a real piano.
