Did Jeff Porcaro really play "In The Flesh"????
....what that means he was 23 years old or something?????(what an honour)

Yeah i only found out recently...12 years ago.....i couldn't believe it!
Great drummer though......alot of people i know think highly of him from a 'technical' perspective........and i tend to agree...although i rarely listen to toto anyway.

he is good.....but it's always easy playing someone elses hits.

I meant I like Toto although haven't listened to anything by them after the IV album!!!!

Porcaro played the hardest parts of the wall. What shall we do now? is another song where Porcaro played but didnt get to the album. In Two suns in the sunset again Nick was replaced because of the hard time signature part. In AMLOR there were tons of sessions drummers and drum machines. according to Gilmour he played couple rom-tom intros and thats it.

Mason played a lot FOR AMLOR, but he took too long finishing and he didn't play well/hard enough, thus drum machines started getting used and they drafted in session drummers. Thus nothing much was used.
Same with Wright.
