Well, DUH, if he hadn't have been in the BAND, they wouldn't have been PINK FLOYD, being that he named them and all.

This is the biggest flame post I've read since i joined... And he did spell his name correctly. He spelt it 'Sid' once, and 'Syd' every other time. Why do you only point out every word he spells incorrectly? Why not point out the ones he gets right if anything. Did you make your day better by posting this reply?

That is a very nice opinion you have on Syd Barrett leaving Pink Floyd. Oh thats right, we aren't talking about Pink Floyd here. We are keeping an eye out for people who dont capitalise their 'I's.

Personally I found what fish eyed lens was talking about to be interesting. I would like to know about this lobotomy surgery he apparently had. Has enyone else ever heard anything at all that might suggest this is true?

Speaking of words you can spell by the time you hit grade 4, i saw duh on the list, but i think it dissapears somewhere after... Here you are insulting his vocabulary when you are using made up words. You know there is another way to express what you were saying without using 'Duuhh'
I would have been happy to hear what you said without the unnecessary high brow insults you are throwing at him. I did not know Syd Barret name Pink Floyd.

If Syd did have a lobotomy, it's strange he has no scars on his head to show for it.
Also I've never head of doctors giving someone a lobotomy for schizophrenia, which is what Syd suffers from.

Completetly false as to the labotomy claim. Contrary to some beliefs, Syd is not a walking zombie. He functions very well in his own environment. He didn't freak out and go nuts; he just dropped out of society as she saw it.
