I read it twice! After I first got it, I read a little bit each night, and it took a while, but the second time went faster as Live 8 came and went and I was feverish for anything Floyd. I still refer to sections here and there on occasion...it's a good book and he's a good writer.

It was funny in a lot of places. He uses that dry british wit abundantly. He said when Roger sent back his pre-print proof, there was the word BULLOCKS! written across one of the pages. THAT was funny...

I got a signed edition from PAC signatures.

Just got my copy of the Paperback edition of Nick's book.
Had to read the extra chapter about the Live 8 re-union, right away.

I got the sense that Roger and Nick got along great, but the relationship between Roger/Rick/David is still quite cold.

There was an uncomfortable moment between Rick and Roger when Rick suggested that Roger would play the bass the same way Guy Pratt played it on the PULSE tour. Of course Roger didn't like this one bit.

Dave had some good reasons, why he didn't want to do the re-union. The band didn't have enough time to rehearse and the re-union would affect the attention to his upcoming album.

Oh man, I own this book and I absolutely love it. He should do a sequel, if that's possible. :D I was really surprised at how funny a lot of it is. You know, because when you think of Pink Floyd, you don't automatically think of happy, lovely times. But it seems like Nick chooses to remember the good times, not the crap. And when the crappy times are recalled, Nick has a great sense of humor about it, such as the Algie the pig fiasco, or having to work with Roger, when choosing the songs for the Echoes compilation. From the first page of the book, I was laughing my ass off. Great stuff. Nick's the man! rocker
