Pompeii has good drumming. There's Dark Side (esp. Time). There's the more upbeat songs in the Syd era that have super drumming e.g. Astronomy Domine. Can't think what else right now. Animals probably but haven't dragged it out in over a year.

I think he was at his best live, around 69-71.

Check out live versions of Cymbaline and Embyro, there's a tone, depth and fluency and above all feel to those drumming performances that I personally find very appealing.

I think he had a great immagination early on too, on Paintbox for instance, and Remember A Day and of course Set The Controls....

If there is one performance I find disapointing it's the studio version of Echoes, which I think is more down the way the drums were recorded, rather than his playing. I just find it kind of flat and tone-less (the 'Pompeii' version is perfect).
