He has an interesting style. The way he hits the cymbals. Very different.
Very delicate style... if you will... Funny way of holding the sticks... Most drummers are all over the place no them.
He does have a delicate style. That's especially shown on the Pulse DVD. But on Pompeii, he plays much more aggressively, like on OOTD & ASOS.

Nick is a quiet guitarist and he can't play fast like better known drummers like peart or portnoy... BUT...

He's a drummer who knows when NOT to play. He never overplays, he's always aligned perfectly to the rest of he music.

I was telling the drummer in my band to do a fill between to sections, and i showed him a fill from echoes which was incredibly easy and slow. He couldn't do it! And he's a good, even fast drumer. He couldn't do it like on the album, he had to play it in a more metally style :-(.

Knowing when not to play is a good talent.

Quiet guitarist? You made a mistake.

Metabog brings up a good point, but Nick just didnt do as much to gain him the popularity that Roger and David had, and yeah, it looks like he did mess up because he did mean drummer not guitarist...I would like to see if Nick can play guitar or not :upside:
