I don't know really. He is a very laid back drummer and I think one of the things that helps Pink Floyd sound is that he doesn't act like a prima donna and add little frills but instead keeps it nice and simple. You see this a lot in songs like Us and Them where, although the drums sound great, they are very simple and not over-the-top rhythms.

He also uses lots of flams in music and in Echoes, I remember we had a thread about it before, he has sort of a signature drum fill that he takes to using a lot.

I think Nick does just enough, and nothing more, which can be a very good thing.

RIP Syd Barrett - 1/6/46 - 7/7/06
RIP Rick Wright - 7/28/43 - 9/15/08

I agree - listen to TGVGP2, where he does way too much - ended up as the worst track on Ummagumma!

I'd rather not listen to it. :D

Nick had two bassdrums on his kit though I can't really find a song where he's really using them both. Anyone know of any? Don't you think One of These Days would be awesome with double bass drums following the bass beat?
