Hello. I'm terrible at drawing. I'm very impatient with everything I do so things end up being...not very good.
Anyway, I was talking to someone from this board on aim and he says it doesn't look like Syd. I don't think it looks like the picture of Syd that I drew from...but it looks like another picture of him that I didn't draw from.
I don't think it looks like him...but I think it does. I'm very confused and I can't trust my own brain.

Anyone have any random suggestions that I haven't probably heard before?
Anyone have any drawings that they've done of Syd that they can share?
Anyone know a way that I can stop being so god damn impatient?
The most I usually spend on drawings is about an hour and a half. I can't just slow down and pay more attention to detail.
AND the picture's weird because I don't have a scanner I can use at the moment. I had to take a crappy picture of it. :(
And I just noticed that one of the eyebrows is lower than the other! Aaaaaah....
I give up drawing.

I think it looks a lot like him, just a little too femine. Almost what his sister might look like.

I'm female and i'm also used to drawing females so that might have something to do with it. I might be subconsciously making him more feminine in the drawing...

Well I've heard that when someone draws they subconciously make it look like them. Anyways, it's still an awesome drawing. You should do Gilmour next.

Really, "dyolf_knip," I gotta have a copy of that haunting likeness of the young Syd Barrett/Edgar A.P. But I's outta ink and there's 18 inches of friggin' snow here in Southern Illinois, and anyway my scanner wouldn't do your mastery justice. You draw fine, and I never had that knack to any extent. Do one with a black cat on his shoulder and you'll get the Poe alter ego people goin' wild like I already am. I have seen the face of God, and its name is Syd Poe ! :ghostface:
