So "Pulse" is finally being released after 11 years on DVD, which is great, but does anyone like me feel we are still deprived of a definitive Live visual document of the band from the peak of their career in the 1970's? Surely there is good archival footage from the DSOTM, WYWH and ANIMALS tours to make up a 3 or 4 disc DVD in the style of Zeppelin's "How the West Was Won" release from a couple of years back? I know that much of the footage for those discs was fully remastered, often from very grainy and degraded reels (some discovered in a damp basement) so I don't see why the same can't be done for the Floyd. Sure, "Pulse" on DVD is great but it's just the Video from a decade ago with nicer wrapping paper. Does it really invoke the excitement that a 3 concert-plus-rareities package from the seventies would? And how could we get a campaign to release such a thing started?

Sure, it can be remastered. The only problem the Foyd had was that there simply isn't enough footage from that period. I think we all know Roger has a good version of one of The Wall shows that can be remastered. I'm judging this from all the information I've read and everything I've downloaded from those tours off the internet. Now, I don't know what the band members have. I could be completely wrong.

I'd love to see something like DSOTM performed by the 70s Floyd, as well as all the Animals and WYWH shows.

Patience my friend. Roger said a year ago that The Wall Live footage will probably find its way to the surface sooner or later.

I think that he will release it after he retires, along with whatever else he has locked away.

I agree and would simply love to get my hands on <s>some of those you mentioned</s> ok, all of them! That would be so sweet.

Being that I have a 56k modem, it's impossible to send them. It takes too long and after a while, I just get a big error screen. They're pretty easy to get off eMule or Bittorrent, etc.

I just watched the documentary about the making of DSOTM yesterday and i realized their was some sweet video footage of pink floyd performing darkside. If you have the dvd, im talking about when they play "The Travel Section/On the Run" If someone that had the power would make a dvd from that performance, I would be a happy dude.

p.s. i've also seen a video on the web of the group playing careful with that axe eugene. It looked like it was from the same show, the subtitle said Pink Floyd Brighton Dome 1972. If anyone has information on it, share it.
