Chosen by the four main members of the band. Most tracks were chosen by a concensus, a few were voted on by Nick and Rick, (Dave wanted some, Roger wanted others, the others acted almost like peace keepers in what they decided upon). As for the order, a few were worked upon, Roger wanting it to be in chronological order, Dave wanting it to be mixed and Nich and Rick agreeing with him. They basically chose the order which they thought worked the best with Roger abstaining, I think he did anyway.

I think it might have been better in chronological order, but still to have bike at the end, to complete the cycle of the first and last song writen by Syd.

Its hard to put Floyd songs into a "greatest hits" album, all of their songs in their own ways is a great song...
