But take this into example, some one at my school who claims they know Pink Floyd said that Roger was insane and that is why the band broke up. I wanted to put him in his place right there but I just walked off. Well, that was my 2 cents.

don't listen to the kids. its obvious that they know F all and care nothing for the Pink Floyd. i agree that Syd needs more respect. when i first heard about Pink Floyd, i was told that David Gilmour was a replacement for their original guitarist..who had died! WTF??? I know full well that Syd is still around, despite rumours that he is blind, bedridden, etc (i hope not!) its at times like this that Syd needs fans like us!

Syd deserves hundreds of fans. Whoever criticizes him probably hasn't heard his music. he's a true artist.

I think Syd gets a lot of respect considering he was only in the band for such a short time. Especially from his peers. And I think it's cool that the guys in Floyd make sure he's provided for. Like when they use his songs and stuff.

He has many of them, Bowie included, in the early 70s Bowie spoke alot about "Syds Pink Floyd".
i like bowie's see emily play cover! and yah i heard bowie saw syd as a huge influence.

Aww I like Syd. He's gotta be my rock hero. Like his nephew said in the magazine, 'People just put him down as a mad man, as though there is nothing to what pain he must've been through'. I would love to of helped him. He created the best band in the world. It seems no one thinks about that anymore. He deserves a lot more repect and appreciation, and he earns it SO badly.
