Brilliant.

Can I ask, are there any particular artists you're inspired by?

Thanks :)

I can't say there were any particular artists that inspired that piece or any of my other pieces done in that style. But I am a big fan of Warhol, Klimt, and Basquiat.

Jintzey Wrote:Nice work HeyBurningGuy! It looks to me like you used multiple mediums in your drawing. What did you use? I like using pencil and oil pastels mostly. Sometimes I use charcoal and watercolors but not as often.

You have an intriguing style. For example, I like that Syd's hair looks like it is made up of pieces of cut fabric with different patterns. Pretty cool. :)
Thanks! :) I used markers and a bit of chalk to make it. I like using pencils a lot, as well as watercolour, but oil pastels and charcoal can get a bit too messy for me sometimes. :D
Yes, they can get messy but I like being able to blend them easily. That's why I spray Workable Fixative on my pieces when I'm done to minimize the mess. I'd love to try oil paints one day. I love working with things that have alot of texture and can be blended and worked alot. Half the fun of making art is the physical process to do it. :) I suck at creative writing so I release my emotions through making art and playing music instead.

I fecking love your picture. I keep staring at it...

I don't know what drugs have to do with that kind of artwork (in response to a previous post), but my GOD, you would need a much larger attention span than what I have to do that. I love it.
