William Gerrard Wrote:William Gerrard Wrote:"Let the man die in peace." That seems to be the common philosophy amongst fans. :;):
I had no idea he'd die so soon after I wrote that.

Yeah. He's doing much, much better. And yes, William Gerrard it is scarily ironic!!

If nothing else, I'm glad he'll be at peace now from the idiots who thought it was cool to keep disturbing him.

I highly doubt it. Syd seemed pretty content with staying away from everyone and everything that was painful about his past, and he did a pretty good job. The members of The Floyd obviously kept their distance from him out of respect for his wishes, and I doubt that they would bother him otherwise, so I'm guessing that sadly, no, they didn't get to make peace with him.

RE: Imagine meeting Syd now... - would you even want to?
I heard b4 his death that Gilmour was thinking of dropping in to see him. Don't know if Syd's sister would approve but if I had the history with Syd that Dave has, I'd go see him. If Syd didn't wanna speak, I think Dave would just leave it. Personally, I would have 2 questions for him:
1) "Are you happy & not lonely"?
2) WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?
