I've always wondered who did that, and if anyone could tell me it would be very appreciated.

I'm sorry if this is a little random. :3 But I was wondering, does every copy of Ummagumma have the Gigi album on the cover? I always thought it did, but I saw it on vinyl a couple of weeks back and it didn't. Does that mean it's a fake? It's the only physcial copy of the album I've seen.

Again, I'm sorry if this is a bit of of the blue. XD
Thanks everyone!

And then there's this teeny group of people (at this point in my knowledge, containing only myself) that thinks he was hot when he was younger, like Saucerful of Secrets days.
Please someone tell me your opinions on this!!! Do you think he's good-looking at all, and if so, young or now???

Quote:THE sound of thunder boomed around Cadwell Park racetrack when Ferrari fan and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason got into top gear. His Ferrari 512 – worth a cool £1.5-million – tore round the track at up to 150mph, powered by its 600bhp engine. It was a welcome return to Cadwell for motor sport racer Nick, who flew to Lincolnshire in his custom-painted Squirrel helicopter from London.

His treasured Ferrari was used in the Steve McQueen movie Le Mans in a crash scene, and also driven by legendary racing drivers Mario Andretti, Ronnie Peterson and Arturo Merzario. Its wreckage was lovingly restored thanks to Nick (65).
The car – which has 12 cylinders and is capable of 200mph – was driven around Cadwell by motoring journalist and racing driver Mark Hales to take part in a comparison test drive with a £2.4-million Porsche 917, owned by former racing driver David Piper.

Nick said: “I have raced with the Vintage Sports Car Club, which comes here regularly. I raced a Bugatti.

“It is a great circuit and it’s so nice to see the infrastructure looked after so well.

“The car is a fairly fierce bit of kit and was made for 1,000km races such as Le Mans.

“With a small wing at the back, it is particularly exciting to drive.”
collection of special items relating to Syd Barrett or Pink Floyd are currently being auctioned for charity.

These include signed copies of Mind Over Matter, a book published to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd, exploring the images of the bands album sleeves and the artwork they contain.

A world-famous artist, Storm Thorgersons memoirs of his time spent with Pink Floyd are combined with the artwork he created to represent the band at each stage of their career. Released in 2007, the book sees Storm revisit the work he created for the albums and tell the stories behind them.

Also available are Syd Barrett posters based on a photograph taken by Mick Rock and A Pink Floyd Fans Illustrated Guide to Cambridge, the city where many of the band members originated from.

Syd Barrett Trust Charity
All money raised goes to the Syd Barrett Trust, set up in 2008 by Syd s sister Rosemary. The fund was founded to support Escape Artists, a company which promotes mental wellbeing through the arts.

Speaking of her reasons for setting up a charity in Syds memory, Rosemary Breen said:

"It seemed to me that so many people held his memory with such affection, I felt that they would, as I would, value the opportunity to put that affection to good use. There seemed to be such love for him free in the air, I thought let's do something useful with it.

Syd Barrett Trust - City Wakes Poster
My main motivation is, I'm very aware of how lonely Syd was because he was different, especially in the latter years in Cambridge after the Floyd. I would like to think that people can get companionship and accepted into society, even if it's only in a group of like-minded people. I think the loneliness he felt was just dreadful, and if we could stop that, or at least help some people from feeling that loneliness because they're different, then I would feel we've achieved something."

Escape Artists work across sectors and art forms with homeless people, mental health service users, young people at risk, prisoners and other disadvantaged groups: providing structured routes into further education, training and employment.

To view the items available visit http://www.syd-barrett-trust.org.uk and head to the eBay store. The closing date for bids depends on the item.

In March 12,600 was raised from the sale of Fart Enjoy, a book featuring sketches the late founder member of Pink Floyd created in the time immediately before the formation of the band in 1965.
From David Gilmour's Website:

David Gilmour's Astoria Houseboat Studio on Thames River

Our regular readers will know that David's houseboat studio Astoria is one of the best, and certainly the most beautiful, of London's private recording studios. Her hull was recently inspected and deemed in need of renovation, so she was moved to dry dock to have a complete steel hull replacement, which should mean she lasts another 30-40 years with no further major work.

After the new hull was successfully fitted, she was re-floated and towed back to her berth yesterday. The photo above was taken by Astoria studio boss Phil Taylor, and we have some more to view in Galleries.

The boat was built in 1911 for theatrical impresario Fred Karno, who wanted to have the best houseboat on the river, specifying that the deck should be able to accommodate an entire 90-piece orchestra. David bought Astoria in 1986 and has used it for recording and mixing Pink Floyd and solo projects.

Filmmaker Gavin Elder was in attendance throughout the hull replacement operations, so we hope to be able to bring you the moving story in moving pictures at some time in the future.

So, basically, long story short, I need some help, and I didn't really know where else to go (apart from the internet).

Anyways, to get to the point, one of my most beloved PlayStation games ever has been scratched to holy hell, so I downloaded a copy from a torrent, figuring that I'd be able to burn it to disc. Now that I've downloaded it, I'm completely fucking stumped. Do I just click and drag these .CUE and .IMG things onto a disc and voila, instant entertainment for the whole family? Or is there something more complicated and sinister that needs to happen?

Please help me if you can, I really want to play this game (it's Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, btw), and the cheapest copy I can find on TradeMe (an eBay-ish site for New Zealand) is $200, and I don't have that sort of money.

It would be so much appreciated if you could help me. Perhaps a shiny new reputation would convince you?

(if it seems stupid, please forgive me, i'm not a genius when it comes to computerator machines)
