Friday, December 11th, Roger Waters was interviewed by legenday British TV presenter David Frost, on his “Frost Over The World” programme aired by Al Jazeera English TV channel. In the interview, Roger talks about the Wall in 1990, the history of the band (with a focus on meeting Syd Barrett, and the growth of that relationship), and the “inevitable” break-up of Pink Floyd.
The Live 8 reunion is remembered fondly, and he mentions, particularly in light of Richard Wright’s very sad passing, how the concert had “the small window of opportunity to actually play together for one last time, and it was very important to me that we did that – it was a terrific experience…”
Finally, he talks again about his hopes for the proposed Wall tour of 2010/2011, noting that he was currently “crunching all the numbers at the moment”, and noted that the tour would “probably be later next year”.

Roger I have been lost in Pink Floyd for nearly 40 years and sseen both you and the Floyd. I hope you’ll give some consideration to Des Moines Iowa in your tour as I know there are very many loyal fans that would love the show.

Roger, Probably you have heard about the war between Russia an Georgia in August 2008. The consequence of that war is a new Berlin Wall in the territory of Georgia. Do you think it could be a good idea to visit Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, with the show and say again NO to Russia’s Soviet mentality?

After hearing the stories from my parents about the “Animals Tour” , in the late 70′s, just before I was born, and seeing you twice in my lifetime. Once , in Portland, OR. for the filming of the “In The Flesh DVD” , and also in Houston Tx. for the last show on “The Dark Side Of The Moon Tour” in 2008 . I can’t tell you how much it would mean to see you and your band again. Please hit the States.

Thank you fo trying to bring the Wall tour to Pink Floyd,s fans worldwide, now that david Gilmour is reluctant to tour & Rick Wright in sadly no longer with us.
But it would be great if you could convince David to join you on The Wall tour.(and Nick would any way!) No number crunching necessary! It will be a sell out in every town or city you take it to…..& please don’t forget Australia….you have been very good to us during your solo years! Good luck!

I doubt you have time or the inclination to read these notes, but believe me when I say those here in your family’s American hometown of Milwaukee, WI, LOVED having you here for Summerfest (the fulfillment of a thirty-year dream for me) and would LOVE to have you return with The Wall. Beautiful Miller Park would be the perfect venue, situated on the former site of Milwaukee County Stadium, where you appeared with Pink Floyd twice in the 1970′s. Love ya, Roger … especially enjoyed The Wall exhibit at the R&R Hall of Fame in Cleveland on a recent visit. Peace my brother …

Hey man you’re one of my favourite artists, I discovered Pink Floyd and its magic a couple of years ago and I’m a huge fan of it… I only regret I was born too late to see you guys live, and I know lots of people just like me who’d do anythind to do so… If the tour is made, please consider coming to Argentina, you have a lot of fans here.

I really hope you can come to Maryland. I never got to experience Pink Floyd in concert when I was “young”, but would definitely go to this concert if it becomes a reality.
Like a previous poster said, there is no need to “crunch numbers” – your huge fan base will guarantee that the concert becomes a huge success for you, financially as well as personally. Plus you have the chance to impact the “video game” generation you talk about with some concern in your interview with David Frost. That generation needs you now and I’m sure many of their parents will bring them to the concert.
Thank you for your outstanding music – I’ve listened to it daily for the last 30 years.

i have a scrap book i have kept for 29yrs and i look at every once in a while it has lots of stuff and even 7inch singles i have kept inside which i never play anymore ( just for keeps ) its great to look at these and old tickets for concerts i attended most hitch hiking to the venues in Londonx2 i would love Roger to give his thoughts on this and sit and look through it wow that would be great A!! love floyd never stop playing there music Ste Liverpool soon to be 49yrs old!!

Saw The Wall in Nassau, NY in 1980.
Saw The Wall in Berlin, Germany in 1990.
Will go anywhere in the World to see The Wall in 2010!
Although I am hoping it’s on the East Coast of the US. lol

Saw Pink Floyd in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in july of 1994. it was the most incredible concert of my life, as I still talk about it being the best concert i have EVER attended, as the bar was set. The only thing that would top it is if you guys came back for another show.

I know a speak for all true pink Floyd fans. That here can not just be one show… There is not one single origin of the world the can say they love you the most… I would love to consider my self your number one fan
. But I learned about pink floods music thru my uncle… Raul cabanillas the greatest fan I know. I guess what it really comes down to is that there can not just be one location for a concert. Too many people love pink floyd… To just have one show…the name pink and floyd came from jazz players that you and others once loved. I live in Malta, a small island in the heart of the Mediterrean, you came here in concert a couple of years ago and it would be nice to welcome you back again. But since this may not be possible i made certain not to miss this great show and bought some tickets for your London date in May 2011.
