UPDATE/CORRECTION: We were contacted by EMI letting us know that the Rockline show with Pink Floyd is a 25th Anniversary special recorded a few years back. The Band will not be in the studio taking question from listeners, this is an encore edition that ran before. Incorrect reports from sources online reported that it would be a new interview and listeners could call in to ask questions.


The surviving members of Pink Floyd will be special guests on the nationally syndicated U.S. program Rockline with host Bob Coburn on Wednesday, February 22.

David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Nick Mason will be on hand to discuss the ongoing Immersion and Experience series of Pink Floyd album reissues. Pink Floyd is set to release the Immersion and Experience editions of The Wall, the final installment of the series, on February 28th. The Wall is Pink Floyd’s best selling project, after 1973′s Dark Side of the Moon. The 1979 double-album opus topped the album charts in the U.S., France, Germany, Sweden and Australia, while the track “Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2″ — Pink Floyd’s initial UK single since 1968 — became a chart-topping smash, selling more than one million units within weeks of its release.

In advance of this new reissue of The Wall, the band has issued a new video sampler:

The album has proven to be something of a rallying point for Gilmour, Waters and Mason in the wake of co-founding member Richard Wright’s passing in 2008. Last year, as Waters presented a solo version of The Wall at London’s 02 Arena, he was joined by the remaining members of Pink Floyd for a rare and emotional reunion.

Waters new production of The Wall continues into North America in 2012.

Even if you saw the show in 2010 or 2011, it’s getting better and better as more improvements and additions are made, so it’s definitely worth seeing again in 2012 if you can make it!

This morning, Roger Waters stopped by the Howard Stern show, where he announced among other things that he will be playing his “The Wall” show at Yankee Stadium in New York on July 6th. This video is a small teaser of the show, in which they appeared to talk about some pretty fun and interesting topics.

We get lots of emails but I thought this was especially cool and worth sharing:

To whom it may concern (especially the members of the Rock and Roll Band “Pink Floyd”), I would like to share with you an amazing photo and person. His name is Keith, he lost his legs due to Buerger’s disease and is a bilateral below knee amputee and veteran. He is such a fan of the band he asked me to laminate t-shirts with a collage of album covers on his prosthetic limbs(see attached pic). We did this once before with The “1978 tour” logo on his legs. But these ones came out so beautiful I felt I should share them with you. I recently learned about a contest the band had where fans sent in pictures with Pink Floyd themes in order to win concert tickets. Sorry I found out late or I am sure Keith would have been in the running to win. Anyways, I think it is a wonderful tribute to the band and their influence on the world, especially Keith. I am sure the band knows how popular they are, but I doubt they realize how much they mean to someone like Keith. I hope the band actually will see this and hope it amazes them as much as it has me, and I make artificial limbs for a living!
