Here’s a cool video from a couple nights ago of Roger Waters playing bass on a bluesy song for G.E. Smith’s 60th birthday party at a live music club in The Hamptons area of New York.

Roger says he’s a bit drunk but will try his best to play bass. He ends up playing quite well and looks like he’s having a great time.

G.E. Smith played guitar for Waters’ recent ‘Wall Live’ tour. He was also the musical director on Saturday Night Live for many years and the lead guitarist for Hall & Oates.

This video was from the day before yesterday, (Wednesday, August 22nd) at a bar called The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York. Amagansett has a population of 1,327 people.

After doing a little research, The Stephen Talkhouse is considered to be a bit of a “dive bar”, but a welcome change of scenery from some of the other area bars – which some have called “snooty”. (The Hamptons is a very exclusive part of New York, home to many famous musicians, movie stars, and otherwise rich people.)

The Stephen Talkhouse is a place you could show up in flip flops and a t-shirt if you wanted, let loose, have fun, and see some greats shows.

Even though it’s a rather small venue, many amazing bands and artists have played there, including Paul McCartney, The Who, and The Rolling Stones.

This was probably an amazing show to attend. It’s so much different, and more intimate, seeing great bands in smaller bars and venues like this.

Can You Imagine Living Here?

Back in June, we reported that the Battersea Power Station was purchased by developers who planned to turn the iconic Pink Floyd landmark into an Apartment Complex.

Pictures have now emerged of what the development will look like.

I must say, as a huge Pink Floyd fan, I think it would be AWESOME to live here! I think it’s nice that they decided not to tear down the iconic structure and start from scratch.
