The Division Bell (1994) with Citizen Kane (1941)

Instructions:

Start CD at the beginning of the movie when “An RKO Radio Picture” appears. Repeat CD until the end of the movie.

Some things I noticed:

Cluster One

What Do You Want from Me

“Look around this room tonight… Settle in your seat” as men are gathered in a meeting.

“You can have anything you want” refers to the wealthy Mr. Kane.

“You can own everything you see” and “Sell your soul for complete control” refer to Mr. Kane.

Poles Apart

“Did you know it was going to go so wrong for you?” and “you were always the golden boy then” refer to Mr. Kane.

“Did you realize what you’d become?” as Mr. Kane’s in a wheelchair.

“stared out the steel in your eyes” as the movie projector finishes the film.

“The rain fell slow, down on all the roofs of uncertainty” as it rains on the roofs.

“I thought of you and the years and all the sadness fell away from me” as former wife of Mr. Kane is sitting at a table crying.

A Great Day for Freedom

Everybody reading newspapers, and the artwork shows newspapers.

Take It Back

Coming Back to Life

The girls dance to the music.

An ice sculpture of two faces facing each other in the film is very similar to the album cover concept.

Keep Talking

Trophy has similar shape as the monkey face in the artwork.

“Keep Talking” as people describe Mr. Kane’s past.

Lost for Words

Lost for Words is fitting title for scene between Mr. Kane and his wife.

“When the Right One walks out of the door” as Mr. Kane’s second wife walks through a door.

“So I open my door” as she opens the door to her home.

High Hopes

“Flag unfurled” as the banners are shown.

Mr. Kane has high hopes of becoming elected to office as governor.
